Emberquest Saga
★★★★★ 4.5
Emberquest Saga leans into old-school turn-based combat but keeps the sessions short enough for a phone. You build a party of four from a roster with real personality, and the way their abilities chain together turns every fight into a tiny puzzle.
The world is hand-drawn and genuinely pleasant to wander. Side quests aren't just fetch errands; a few of them reshuffled our party priorities entirely. We liked that gear felt situational rather than a straight power ladder.
The story takes a while to warm up, but once it does there's a surprising amount of heart. A solid pick if you miss proper RPGs on the go.
